Why Lunar · Credentials

Certifications & CredentialsCredentials are claims with paperwork.

Anyone can print “trusted” on a business card. A license number can be looked up, a CMI designation verified, a federal work history documented. Here's Lunar's paperwork — and what each piece actually means.

Certified Master Inspector FL License #HI-14111 Fully Licensed & Insured
The standard

Four credentials, each verifiable.

Trust in this industry should be checkable. Every credential Lunar advertises is listed below with what it covers, who issues it, and what it means for your inspection — and none of them is decoration. The license defines the legal scope of residential work; the CMI designation documents the experience volume behind the judgment; the federal history explains the reporting standard; the state program appointment connects homeowners to hardening grants.

Just as important is what we don't advertise: services we aren't currently licensed for don't appear on this site. When scope belongs to another licensed specialty — WDO, mold assessment, septic, structural engineering — our reports say so and refer accordingly. Credentials mean the boundaries, too.

  • FL DBPR #HI-14111 — the licensed foundation
  • CMI® designation — verified experience volume
  • U.S. Army housing history — the documentation standard
  • My Safe FL Home — state program inspector
Look it up
A credential you can't verify is an anecdote. Look ours up.

The scope

What each one is, and what it covers.

Issuer, scope, and meaning — the full accounting.

01

Florida License #HI-14111

Issued by the Florida DBPR. Authorizes home inspection of 1–4 unit residential dwellings to the state's Standards of Practice (§468.8311, F.S., and DBPR rules) — the legal foundation under every residential report we sign.

02

Certified Master Inspector®

The industry's highest designation, from the Master Inspector Certification Board — documented inspection volume, continuing education, and a code of ethics, verified rather than self-declared.

03

U.S. Army housing-inspection background

Years performing contracted inspections of U.S. Army family housing — the documentation-first discipline that became Lunar's reporting standard.

04

My Safe Florida Home inspector

Participating state-program inspector for eligible wind-mitigation evaluations; program eligibility, assignments, and grant funding are determined by the state.

05

The boundaries

Specialized scopes — WDO, mold assessment, septic, engineering — are referred to the appropriately licensed professionals, in writing, every time they arise.

Why Lunar

The standard behind every visit.

Certified Master Inspector

The profession's highest credential. Reports signed by a CMI carry weight with agents, lenders, and insurance carriers.

Federal-contract discipline

Brian performed contracted housing inspections supporting U.S. Army housing programs. Your property gets the same checklist rigor — nothing skipped, everything documented.

24-hour reports

Photo-documented digital reports, most delivered within 24 hours, so inspection contingencies and carrier deadlines stay on track.

Technology on every visit

Thermal imaging and instrument diagnostics deployed whenever conditions call for them — documented in the same report.

Northeast Florida native

Coastal wind exposure, mid-century Jacksonville wiring, St. Johns new builds — we inspect what this region actually has.

Support after the report

Complimentary repair re-inspection verification and plain-English answers — the report is the start of the relationship, not the end.
